an organism i found on the beach. it appeared to be alive and well. its bubbly texture was enticing and there was the temptation to touch it slightly, just to feel what that bubble was. but i didn’t. there was a sense that its beauty was its danger. i though of jellyfish and thought that this may be related to it. poison, or whatever defense mechanism it had, would have been passed on by touch. even in its seemingly fragile and vulnerable position and appearance, there remained a sense of power about it; it remained powerful. its beauty was only to be observed.
